Editing pages in RedStar Energy is done via the Content Management module. You can edit a page in several ways:
Re-arranging the order of pages
If your website has been configured to utilise this function, you can re-order pages on your site. This is done via the
and
icons as you browse through the categories.
Deleting Pages
Again, providing you have the correct permissions to delete pages, you can simply delete pages via the
link in the category browser.
If you select the page you would like to edit, you will notice the page is then split into a series of tabs for changing different areas of content. Below is a brief synopsis of each:
Page Editing Tabs: General
This tab allows you to change the short name for the page, and
also tick the "live" option which determines if a given page will be
shown on your page.
Page Editing Tabs: Media
The media tab allows you to upload images or documents to your
website. If you have this feature enabled, it is usually used for
files that are displayed in a set position in your page.
You will need to make sure that any images you upload are of the correct size and proportion.
Page Editing Tabs: HTML Content
This is where you will edit the main content on your website,
and you can style the text on your site in any way you wish. You will
notice that each field will have a toolbar similar to Microsoft Word
where you can change the size and format of the content, as well as
upload additional images and files.

Page Editing Tabs: SEO
The SEO tab allows you to set the META tags for your page,
which are read in by search engines such as Google. If you don't
enter any information in these boxes, your website will automatically
fill these in for you, using the default information for your website.
In this tab, you can also set the name of your file, which you may use on your site - but you should check with us to see if this is the case.
