Setting up your emails in Microsoft Outlook 2007

Setting up your emails to work with Microsoft Outlook is really easy - and it's even easier if you follow the steps below. 

You will need three bits of information:

  1. Your mail server -Incoming -  pop3.flyingatom.co.uk
                                   Outgoing - out.flyingatom.co.uk
  2. Your username - you@youremailaddress.co.uk
  3. Your password - secret

Step by step instructions

  1. Open Outlook 2007
  2. "Click" Tools, from the pull down menu and select E-mail Accounts Settings
  3. In the Account Settings window, select the E-Mail tab, and "click" New.

  4. Select the bullet for Microsoft Exchange Server, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and "click" Next

  5. "Check" manually configure server setting; and "click" Next

  6. "Bullet" Internet E-mail; and "click" Next

Next: Configure your Outlook 2007 for POP3 and SMTP Authentication

  1. Type in your User Information:
  2. Type in your Server Information:
  3. Type in your Logon Information:
  4. "Check" the remember password field

Next: Configure your Outlook 2007 for Windows to retrieve your e-mail

  1. "Click" on More settings...
  2. Under the Outgoing Server tab "check" My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication; and "click" OK


  3. "Click" Next
  4. Review the account information; and "click" Finish
