Why can't I de-select a country in my Shipping Method profile?

When you edit a shipping method, you can select or de-select countries that a certain shipping method applies too via the select box.

However, if a country has "Standard Shipping" set as it's default shipping method, this will be indicated by the country being highlighted in red.  In this case you can't un-assign the profile - you will first have to edit that country, and specify a new default shipping profile.
