You will need four main accounts with eBay and PayPal before you can use the Simple Lister, or any API integration. 

You will need to set the following accounts up in the sequence specified:

• eBay Developer account at: https://developer.ebay.com/join/
• eBay Sandbox account at: https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/sandboxuser/ (choose Country=UK, this is critical)
• PayPal Developer account at: https://developer.paypal.com/devscr?cmd=_signup-run
• PayPal Sandbox account at: https://developer.paypal.com/cgi-bin/devscr?cmd=_create-account-session 
  It is very important that you create a Verified Business test account at this point.
  
  To achieve this:
  • Login at: https://developer.paypal.com/
  • Go to the Test Accounts menu
  • Click the link that says Preconfigured next to where it says Create Account
  • Choose Country = UK
  • Choose Account Type = Seller
  • Leave email as is
  • Enter password
  • Change Add Bank Account to Yes
  • Click 'Create Account'
  • N.B. When you login on the PP sandbox screen, you will need to enter your developer.paypal.com user ID (which is an email address). Once logged-in, if you go to Test Accounts you can view existing PP sandbox account IDs and/or set up new ones. These accounts will be in this sort of format: fred_1280408288_biz@retailer.com. This is the PP account info you must code into your eBay API solution and NOT the developer.paypal.com user ID.

When you have done this:
You will need to link your developer account to your eBay accounts - both for the sandbox and production and environments.  This is done in two stages, first you generate api keys, and then you generate your token:

1. Log onto the developers Program site
2.  Go to the My Account page
3. Click "generate production keys" 
   
   Then generate your keys for the sandbox and production environment
   
   
4. To then generate your token visit this page: 
   https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/account/tokens/Default.aspx

If you're a new customer getting set up with Velocity...
We will need some information from you, please could you send us the following details:

1. Your sandbox username and password
2. Your development eBay username and password
3. Your developer.ebay.com username and password

This will allow us (and eBay) to complete the configuration of your store.

As part of the setup process, it is extremely unlikely that you will be asked for your production/live environment logon details, and we will never ask you for your live PayPal logon information.
